A limited number of Saito Ginrin Karashigoi tosai will be released via Koi Online on Sunday 21st December, offering the opportunity to put your name on a fish that is being grown specifically to become a jumbo tosai — at today’s tosai price.
These tosai come from the same parent set as two fully grown examples now approaching 70cm. The video below shows those fish alongside the current batch, providing clear context for how this line develops over time and what these fish are capable of becoming.
All fish included in this release will take part in a two-month indoor grow-on in a dedicated 1,200-gallon pond. During this period, the fish are raised together under controlled conditions to maximise early growth and development before they move on later in the season.

Fish will be selected at random by the team. This approach keeps management straightforward, controls costs, and allows the grow-on ponds to be run correctly.
